Burglars Steal Safe from Marshmello’s Los Angeles Home

Marshmello’s security staff discovered that burglars stole a safe from the EDM DJ and producer’s home in Los Angeles.

Marshmello has found himself on the receiving end of a heinous burglary. The “Lights On” producer known to be Christopher Comstock behind the mask learned that burglars broke into his Los Angeles home on Tuesday, February 25 and made off with a safe.

According to TMZ, Comstock’s security detail arrived at his place of residence the following Thursday to discover that a break-in had taken place. They watched the footage taken via his home security system to narrow down when it happened.

The Los Angeles Police Department took a burglary report following the incident. Comstock was later required to tell them what he kept in the safe, providing an approximate valuation of each item.

This isn’t the first time Comstock has been the target of theft. In 2020, his $500,000 Hennessey Ford VelociRaptor truck was stolen from a dealership. Only on the other end of a high-speed chase did the police apprehend the thief and return Comstock’s vehicle to him.

More recently, Comstock has been on the receiving end of bad press involving a COVID relief grant he received in 2021. According to Business Insider investigation, his was larger than that of any other US musician at $9.9 million.

Famous artists endure all manner of privacy breaches, and they have for a long time. Last year, for instance, EDM DJ and producer Zedd was forced to file a restraining order against a fan who allegedly showed up to his home in Encino, California and began behaving erratically.

Marshmello’s team has gotten involved with the police investigation in hopes that they will be able to resolve it more quickly.
